40th Anniversary Special - Dance Music and Airs from the Scottish Diaspora (Scotland, Cape Breton, Shetland Islands and more). Music from this ensemble’s past, and a spectacular guest artist with the internationally renowned duo of Alasdair Fraser (fiddle) and Natalie Haas (cello)!

Personal Note: Alasdair and Natalie are two of my personal heroes in the fiddle world - Alasdair Fraser was the first Scottish fiddler I ever learned about when I was in Jr. High School (20 years ago!), before I even knew the difference between Irish and Scottish fiddle; and Natalie Haas was a professor at Berklee College of Music while I was a student there (not my professor though.) She is a spectacular cellist, with an extremely high energy approach to this music. I’ve learned many tunes from their duo recordings, and we are all very excited to get to play with the two of them! This one is not to be missed :-).

I will have an arrangement in the show as well featuring the winds of the SFLA (tin whistles and flutes).

Tickets: scottishfiddlers2024.eventbrite.com while they last - we are expecting to sell out, so they probably will not be available at the door

(Update after the fact: We had a pretty much full house! They said we had about 20 out of 500 seats left the afternoon before the show.
